How long does the built-in battery last in a GSM-TAG device?

The GSM-TAG is specially designed to minimize power consumption for maximized battery life.

Between scheduled position reports, the unit's microcontroller enters an idle state until the next scheduled position check. When it is time to check for a new position, the microcontroller can use the motion sensor and GPS receiver to determine if the device has moved. If the device has not moved, the microcontroller can quickly return to the idle state without generating a position report.

The expected battery life on a GSM-TAG device is dependent on the configured profile. Typically, a device battery is good for 800+ transmitted messages
